  1. Oh My Darling, Valentine

    (to the tune of "Clementine")

    In a toystore
    on a Sunday
    with a dollar forty nine
    I need something
    just a dumb thing
    for my brand new
    Valentine.

    Oh my darling.
    Oh my darling.
    Oh my darling
    Valentine.
    I'm uneasy,
    kind of queasy,
    but you're still my
    Valentine.

    Yes, it happened
    in the classroom
    when you said
    "Will you be mine?"
    I was muddled
    and befuddled,
    so I answered,
    "Yeah, that's fine."

    Then you called me
    in the lunchroom.
    You had saved a
    place in line.
    And I knew that
    it was true that
    I was now your
    Valentine.

    I went shopping
    for a present
    and I saw this
    blinking sign:
    "Here's a pleasant
    little present
    for a brand new
    Valentine."

    So I bought it
    and I brought it
    in my backpack
    right at nine.
    Do you like it?
    It's a spy kit
    with a flashlight
    you can shine.

    I could tell you
    didn't like it
    when you said I
    was a swine.
    How exciting!
    I'm delighting.
    I have no more
    Valentine.

    Till another
    person stopped me
    and they asked
    "Will you be mine?"
    This is crushing.
    Oh, I'm blushing.
    I've another
    Valentine.

See his shadow? Watch him go!

Winter's here to stay ...oh, no!

  4. TEETH
    Your teeth are on display,
    and they
    Are showing all the while
    You are talking,
    and especially
    When you laugh or smile.
So do your best to keep
    them clean
    By brushing twice a day.
    And stay away from
    sticky sweets,
    For they cause tooth decay.
    Never use your teeth
    to loosen
    Bottle caps or corks,
    And never tap your teeth
    with metal
    Things like rings or forks.

  5. SPARKLE, SPARKLE LITTLE TEETH
    Tooth Brushing Song

(Sing this tooth song to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”)

    Sparkle, sparkle little teeth,
    Some above and some beneath.
    Brush them after every meal.
Clean and fresh they’ll always feel.
    Sparkle, sparkle little teeth,
    Some above and some beneath.

Floss them, floss them, in between.
    Cavities will not be seen.
See your dentist twice a year.
Your teeth will shine from ear to ear.
Floss them, floss them, in between.
    Cavities will not be seen.

    Snacking, snacking, it’s okay.
But do it in the proper way.
Eat raw veggies, fruit and cheese.
They will make your mouth say please.
    Snacking, snacking, it’s okay.
But do it in the proper way.

  6. Practical Application

    He’s teaching her arithmetic,
He said it was his mission,
He kissed her once, he kissed her twice and said,
    “Now that’s addition.”
And as he added smack by smack
    In silent satisfaction,
She sweetly gave the kisses back and said,
    “Now that’s subtraction.”

Then he kissed her, she kissed him,
    Without an explanation,
And both together smiled and said,
    “That’s multiplication.”
Then dad appeared upon the scene and
    Made a quick decision.
He kicked that kid three blocks away
    And said, “That’s long division!”

  7. IF I COULD BE THE VALENTINE POSTMAN

If I could be the postman,
    for just one single day,
    I’d choose to carry valentines,
    so lovely and so fine,
I would not mind a heavy load,
    or mind my tired feet
    if I could scatter happiness,
all up and down the street.

  8. Pink and Red

    I see the color pink
    it is easily found
    It decorates cakes and candies
and flowers sleeping in the ground

    I see the color whie
    so soft, warm, and bright
it is snow, books, and bears
    and in the morning light

    I see the color red
    and think of a Valentine
    It is the perfect color
    for this love of mine

  10. I'm In Love With You
    Meagan D. Murdoch

It’s the way you say I love you and the way you hold my hand
There’s just so much about you.. I completely understand
It’s the twinkle in your eye that I only see when you look at me..
It’s the warmness of your hands is sends a shock straight to my feet.
Its how you always amaze me, you surprise me all day long....
    This I know is true...
Baby, I'm in love with you!

  11. The Groundhog
The funny little groundhogDigs a home in the fall,And hides there all winterRolled up in a ball.On February 2ndHe comes out of thereTo look at the skyAnd to sniff the air.

My LoveAfter so many years of loving you,After so many things we've been through,Still I couldn't find the reason,Tell me why am I in so much love with you?The day you left me,My eyes couldn't stop crying. The day I lost you,A day didn't go I had pray for dying.Come back my love,Someone's still waiting for you.Come back my love,Someone will always wait for you.

    I Had a Loose Tooth
I had a loose tooth, a wiggly, jiggly loose tooth.I had a loose tooth, hanging by a thread.
So I pulled my loose tooth, this wiggly, jiggly loose tooth. And put it 'neath the pillow when I went up to bed.
The fairies took my loose tooth, my wiggly, jiggly loose tooth. So now I have a nickel and a hole in my head.

  12. Brush Your Teeth

    Brush your teeth,

    Brush you teeth,

    Give your teeth a treat.

Brush up and down and all around,

To keep them clean and neat!

    Brush them once,

    Brush them twice,

    Brush three times a day.

Brush up and down and all around,

    Keep cavities away!

    Jumping heart.

    Beating heart.

    Brave heart.

  14. Courageous Is My Valentine
    by Roger J. Robicheau

    Courageous is my Valentine
In uniform, so more than fine
The apple of my eye, you see
No better troop could ever be
Though ‘Mona Lisa’ means a lot
She is no match for what I’ve got
And ‘Robin Hood’ who was real cool
Could never match with my love’s rule
No need to wonder whose the best
There is but one who’d pass my test
I know my love is tried and true
No better heart there’d be than you
    God Bless my precious Valentine
So brave, so smart, my GI’s mine
    You’ll always be my Valentine
Do tell me how you make shoes shine

  15. Reasons Why
    Our love is the long lasting kind;
    We’ve been together quite awhile.
I love you for so many things,
Your voice, your touch, your kiss, your smile.
    You accept me as I am;
I can relax and just be me.
Even when my quirks come out,
You think they’re cute; you let me be.
    With you, there’s nothing to resist;
    You’re irresistible to me.
    I’m drawn to you in total trust;
I give myself to you willingly.
    Your sweet devotion never fails;
You view me with a patient heart.
You love me, dear, no matter what.
You’ve been that way right from the start.
Those are just a few reasons why
I’ll always love you like I do.
We’ll have a lifetime full of love,
And it will happen because of you.

  16. Today I Got a Valentine
    Today I Got a Valentine
    from everyone but Kay.
    But that's alright...
I never liked her that much anyway.

    She never trades her Oreos.
    She isn't good at catch.
She doesn't like my favorite bands.
    Her socks don't often match.

    She doesn't play computer games.
She wears her hair in braids.
    She's something of a teacher's pet
    and always gets good grades.

She dots her i's with little hearts.
    She's always reading books.
Whenever I'm around, she gives me
    such confusing looks.

But, oh my goodness, here comes Kay,
and what is this I see?
It seems she has an extra special
    Valentine for me.

It's big and red has the words
    "Will you be mine today?"
I always said there's no one else
I like as much as Kay.

  17. Open - shut them,
    Give a little clap.
    Open - shut them,
    Open - shut them,
    Lay them in your lap.
Roll them, roll them, (roll hands)
    Roll them, roll them,
    Roll them, just like this.
Wave them, wave them, (wave hands)
    Wave them, wave them,
    And blow a little kiss.

The second little valentine had a funny face
    (hold up two fingers)
The third little valentine said, "I love you"
    (hold up three fingers)
The fourth little valentine said, "I do too" (hold up four fingers)
The fifth little valentine was sly as a fox
    (hold up five fingers)
He ran the fastest to the valentine box
(make five fingers run behind back)

  19. The First Valentine

Rat-tat at the door! Rat-tat at the door!
    Here are valentines one, two, three;
There is one for Harry, and one for Will,
And a big one for girlie, see!
Wildly she flies o'er the nursery floor,
Never was girlie so happy before,
As she shouts in her baby glee-
"Oh! I've got a valentine, all come, look!
As big as the sheet of a picture book!
Now, don't you wish you all, like me,
Had a great big heart painted red, you see?"

All day long - now in, now out -
Now up, now down - she wanders about
Showing her treasure; 'tis fast getting torn,
But paper, we all know, is very soon worn.
"Who do you think can love me the most
To buy this, and send it alone by the post?
Do look again, you must like to see,
'Tis a great big heart, and it 'longs to me,
And please to read me the written line
That says, 'God bless your sweet valentine!'"

  21. The Queen Of Hearts

    The queen of hearts
    She made some tarts
    All on a summer's day
    The knave of hearts
    He stole the tarts
    And took them far away
    The king of hearts
    Called for the tarts
And told the knave no more
    The knave of hearts
    Brought back the tarts
And vowed he'd steal no more.

What Is a Shadow Author Unknown
If I walk, my shadow walks. (Use two fingers, in walking motion)
If I run, my shadow runs (Same fingers in running motion)
And when I stand still, as you can see (Same fingers, standing still)
My shadow stands beside me. (Use first two fingers on other hand and stand beside the first two fingers)
When I hop, my shadow hops, (First two fingers, hopping)
When I jump, my shadow jumps (Same fingers, jump)
And when I sit still, as you can see, (same fingers, bend at knuckles to sit.)
My shadow sits beside of me, (Use as before, both sets of fingers sitting beside each other.)

  23. Snaggle Tooth
    Author: Felicia Pate

    You were so excited
When your tooth began to wiggle.
You ran right in to show me
And you couldn't help but giggle!

We wiggled and wiggled and wiggled some more
And watched the tooth give way.
We knew that soon you'd lose it
We looked forward to the day!

And now you've lost your first tooth
And your second and your third.
    I smile when you mispronounce
    Each number and each word!

I've known this day was coming -
I've known it for a while
You grin and it makes me laugh -
    With your Jack-O-Lantern smile.

You laughter and your so sweet hugs
    Fill me with such joy.
    I can't believe you're growing up,
    My precious baby boy!

  24. My Shadow
    by Robert Louis Stevenson

I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me,
And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.
    He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head;
And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed.

The funniest thing about him is the way he likes to grow-
    Not at all like proper children, which is always very slow;
For he sometimes shoots up taller like an india-rubber ball,
And he sometimes goes so little that there's none of him at all.

He hasn't got a notion of how children ought to play,
And can only make a fool of me in every sort of way.
    He stays so close behind me, he's a coward you can see;
I'd think shame to stick to nursie as that shadow sticks to me!

One morning, very early, before the sun was up,
    I rose and found the shining dew on every buttercup;
But my lazy little shadow, like an arrant sleepy-head,
Had stayed at home behind me and was fast asleep in bed.
